Privacy Policy for Customers of MyRapidMD Corporation
Creator of the Emergency Service Profile: "ESP."


MyRapidMD Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "MyRapidMD" or "we", "us" or "our") recognizes the importance of protecting your privacy and safeguarding the confidentiality of your sensitive information. This policy discloses what information we gather, how we use that information, how and why we may share that information, and other important information.


A. Information That We Collect

MyRapidMD collects information: (i) from you when you subscribe to our services; (ii) from you when you input data into the Emergency Service Profile (ESP) forms; (iii) when you submit a request for information about our services via e-mail or in response to one of our marketing campaigns; (iv) through the use of web tracking software; and (v) from third parties to help us identify products and services which may be useful to you.

  1. Applications

    We collect information from you when you subscribe for our services. The information contained in the registration form typically includes, but is not limited to, personal contact information (such as your name and address), and billing information (if different than above).
  2. Personal Data

    When you use our services, we collect personal data that you provide during the registration process and creation of your Emergency Services Profile or "ESP". Such data is limited to what you input into creating your ESP , and typically includes but is not limited to the following information:
    Name, address, phone numbers, emergency contact names and phone numbers, names of dependents (if any) and medical information and medications (if any).
  3. Information Requests

    You may request information about our programs through our website or in response to marketing campaigns. The information that you are asked to provide in such a request includes your contact information (such as name, address, phone number and e-mail address).
  4. Web Tracking Software

    We utilize web tracking software that allows us to collect and store information such as the name of the domain from which you access the Internet, the date and time that you access our site, the Internet address of the website from which you linked to our site, and the pages that you visited while on our web site.
  5. Supplemental Information

    We may supplement the information that you provide with additional information we receive from third parties, including service providers and industry trade groups. We treat any supplemental information we receive from third parties as carefully as the information that you provide to us directly.



B. How We Use the Information We Collect

MyRapidMD uses the information you provide in connection with storing and uploading the medical and contact information you choose to be made available on your mobile phone or mobile device through the www.myrapidmd.com website. Some of the information is also stored as part of the security procedures we use to ensure your privacy.

MyRapidMD may also use the information that you provide, such as your postal address to send you the MyRapidMD welcome & user package, and/or e-mail address, to send promotions or solicitations for products or services.

If you have provided information to us as part of an information request, MyRapidMD may use that information to assist in responding to your request.

MyRapidMD uses the information collected as a result of our web tracking software to help diagnose problems with our server, to track user traffic patterns, and to administer our website. This information allows us to determine which areas are of most interest and use to our visitors, which avenues of site promotion are most effective and at what time we can expect peak usage.

MyRapidMD may use aggregated information for internal and external analytical purposes, including marketing purposes. However, aggregated information and data will not be identified with any particular individual customer.



C. With Whom We Share the Information We Collect

Only a limited number of employees have access to a limited amount of the information that we collect from you. This information is generally restricted to the information necessary for us to fulfill our obligation in delivering our service to you as a member, such as name & address so we may send you your member welcome package. All employees of MyRapidMD are required to maintain and keep all such information confidential and to abide by the terms of this Privacy Policy. All employees, consultants & third party contractors are require to sign Non-disclosure agreements. MyRapidMD may from time to time retain the services of third-party technical service providers and consultants. These third parties are only allowed access to the information that we collect to the extent that is required for them to perform the tasks for which they were retained. These third parties are contractually obligated to maintain confidentiality and further must agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy.

MyRapidMD utilizes third party collection agencies to assist us in recovering against delinquent accounts. We disclose only that information that is necessary for such collection agencies to perform the services for which they were hired. Such information routinely includes the name, address and phone number of the accountholder, account balance, payment history, and details concerning previous internal collection efforts.

MyRapidMD DOES NOT sell information collected from customers to third parties unless the customer agrees to receive third party information by selecting the appropriate box during sign up. Subject to applicable legal restrictions, MyRapidMD may use certain non-personal information collected from customers for MyRapidMD marketing purposes. Aggregated information and data will not be identified with any particular individual customer. If MyRapidMD believes in good faith that the law requires it to do so or if it is necessary to protect the rights or property of MyRapidMD or its users, MyRapidMD may disclose or exchange with third parties any information that you have provided. Additionally, as MyRapidMD continues to grow as a business, it may acquire or be acquired by another company. In such a transaction, customer information will most likely be one of the transferred assets.



D. Additional Privacy Issues

  1. Consumer Privacy Rules

    The objective of this Privacy Policy is to provide you with a clear, concise and accurate statement of how we handle your information. Please note that the federal Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act and Health Insurance Portability Protection Act do not apply to our information handling practices. This Privacy Policy is not a statement of intent to be bound by or comply with such federal laws or regulations.
  2. Security

    MyRapidMD protects your information using 256 bit SSL RSA-encryption, twice the industry standard. Information is stored on our own servers behind multiple firewalls, and we do not provide storage or web services for any other company except MyRapidMD. Our backup 24 hour automated call center is data generated, and only you, a caller on your behalf and our call center servers have access to this information. MyRapidMD does not employ people to staff our call center therefore no strangers see your information when and if it is requested by someone using the toll free call center. Access to this information via the call center requires the input of a membership number and the following of certain procedures as instructed by the call center once access has been approved and granted. However, no security system is impenetrable and while we exceed the industry standard we cannot guarantee the security of our databases, nor can we guarantee that the information provided via our website will not be intercepted while being transmitted to us over the Internet.
  3. Children

    We do not intend to collect or knowingly collect any information from or about children, except health information specifically provided by a parent or guardian within the parent or guardian's use of MyRapidMD. It is possible that a child may impersonate an adult and attempt to subscribe to our services and, in so doing, provide the child's name, address, phone number, fax number, email address and other identifying information. When such information is received and we are aware that the individual providing the information is a child, the information is used only to reject the child's application and is immediately deleted by us. MyRapidMD cannot always determine if a visitor to its website or the sender of an email is a child.
  4. "Cookies"

    Our website makes use of a standard feature of browser software called a "cookie" to assign each visitor a unique, random number. A cookie is a file that identifies a computer as a unique user. Cookies may be used to facilitate your use of our website, to maintain site security and to improve our website. Most browsers are initially set up to accept cookies. You may be able to reset your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. If cookies are disabled, however, our website (and other websites) may be harder to use. A cookie cannot read data stored on the hard drive of a computer.
  5. Links to Other Sites

    From time-to-time, our website may contain links to other sites whose information practices may be different than ours. You should consult the other sites' privacy notices as MyRapidMD has no control over information that is submitted to, or collected by, these third parties and how that information is used.
  6. MyRapidAlert.com

    If you choose to also sign up for the emergency notification service provided by www.myrapidalert.com a wholly owned subsidiary of MyRapidMD, you agree that this privacy policy will apply as a condition to signing up for and accepting emergency notification information from www.myrapidalert.com.



E. Privacy Policy Changes

We reserve the right to change our policies (including this Privacy Policy) at any time. If we decide to change this Privacy Policy, we will post such changes to our website so that you may be aware of our actions. Any change to this Privacy Policy will become effective thirty (30) days after it is initially posted on our website.



Your Acceptance of the Terms of this Privacy Policy

Continued use of our services, or your use of our website, signifies your agreement to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, you should not use our website(s) or continue to use our services.
