Instructions for Palm owners
Palm devices require a Java-Loader application (WebSphere Micro Environement) to be installed PRIOR to your ESP, or any Java/J2ME applications, in order for those applications to work.

It is a one-time download and install that will take approximately 5 minutes. Once you have installed WebSphere Micro Environement, you can install your ESP.

System Requirements
  • Treo 600, Treo 650, Treo 680 and Treo 700 P smartphones, T|X, Tungsten C, Tungsten T3, Tungsten E, Tungsten E2, Tungsten T5 and Zire 72 handhelds, LifeDrive mobile manager.
  • 3.6 MB free memory on your Palm device
  • 98/NT 4.0/2000/Me/XP

    Macintosh running OS X 10.x
Tungsten T2, Tungsten W, Zire 71 no longer supported: Palm has discontinued support of WebSphere Micro Environment for older Palm devices including Tungsten T2, Tungsten W and Zire 71. The versions of WebSphere Micro Environement that supported these devices is no longer available.

Windows Installation Instructions
  1. Start by downloading the WebSphere Micro Environement. Click the following click to do so (Download JVM.zip). Dependent on your Internet connection speed, this will take between less than a minute and 3 minutes. Be sure to remember where you save the downloaded folder "PALMOS JVM 5.7.2".
  2. If your computer does not automatically extract the contents of the zip file, then browse to where you saved the downloaded file and manually double-click it or right-click the zip file and select "Expand All". If neither of these options work, you will need to download and install a standard unzip utility such as Aladdin Stuffit Expander (Windows, Mac, Linux/Unix), WinZip (Windows), or PKZIP (Windows, Linux/Unix).
  3. Launch your Palm Desktop software that came on the CD that came with your phone. In most cases, you can do this by going to your Start Menu, selecting All Programs and then Palm, and clicking Palm Desktop.
  4. In the Palm Desktop Software, click on the Quick Install icon.
  5. From the user list, select your user name (the user name that you created when you first installed the Palm Desktop software)
  6. Right click on your recycle bin and click on "Explore". Browse to where you saved the "PALMOS JVM 5.7.2" folder that you downloaded and unzipped in Step 2.
    1. In that folder, open the JVM folder.
    2. In that folder, open the ARM4T folder.
    3. In that folder, select the following two files - J9JavaVMMidp20.prc and JavaVMCheck_enUS.prc.
    4. If you want a non-English version, you must install these files:
      1. J9JavaVMMidp20.prc file
      2. J9JavaVMMidp20_xx.prc file with your language version ("de" is German, "es" is Spanish, "fr" is French, "it" is Italian, "ja" and "jp" are Japanese, "zh" and "CN" are Chinese)
      3. JavaVMCheck_xxXX.prc file with your local version
    5. Drag and drop these two files from this window into the Quick Install window that you opened in the Palm Desktop software in Step 4.
  7. Once you have successfully dragged and dropped the two files into the Quick Install window, perform a HotSync operation to sync these files to your Palm.
Macintosh Installation Instructions
  1. Start by downloading the WebSphere Micro Environement. Click the following click to do so (JVM.sit). Dependent on your Internet connection speed, this will take between less than a minute and 3 minutes. Be sure to remember where you save the downloaded folder "PalmOS JVM 5.7.2".
  2. Your computer should automatically expand the file and you will see a folder named PalmOS JVM 5.7.2 on the desktop (or in your default download folder). If your computer does not automatically extract the contents of the sit file, then locate the downloaded file and manually double-click it. If this does not expand the file, you will need to download and install Aladdin Stuffit Expander in order to decode the .sit file.
  3. On your Mac, go to your hard drive and click on the "Applications" folder. Locate the "Palm" folder and in that folder click the "Palm Desktop" icon to launch the Palm Desktop software.
  4. Click on the HotSync Menu and select Install Handheld Files.
  5. From the drop down menu, select the your user name (the user name that you created when you first installed the Palm Desktop software).
  6. Go to the "PALMOS JVM 5.7.2" folder that you downloaded and unzipped in Step 2.
    1. In that folder, open the JVM folder.
    2. In that folder, open the ARM4T folder.
    3. In that folder, select the following two files - J9JavaVMMidp20.prc and JavaVMCheck_enUS.prc.
    4. If you want a non-English version, you must install these files:
      1. J9JavaVMMidp20.prc file
      2. J9JavaVMMidp20_xx.prc file with your language version ("de" is German, "es" is Spanish, "fr" is French, "it" is Italian, "ja" and "jp" are Japanese, "zh" and "CN" are Chinese)
      3. JavaVMCheck_xxXX.prc file with your local version
    5. Drag and drop these two files from this window into the Install Handheld Files window that you opened in the Palm Desktop software in Step 4.
  7. Once you have successfully dragged and dropped the two files into the Install Handheld Files window, perform a HotSync operation to sync these files to your Palm.
WebSphere Micro Environement is on my phone. How do I install my ESP?

If you have already created your ESP
  1. Go to the text message you received from MyRapidMD. If it has been deleted it's not a problem, simply Login to your ESP and our system will send you a new text message.
  2. Select the link in the text message to download your ESP. Most phones/devices allow you to scroll down within the text message and select the link to initiate the download. Some phones however require you to go to your options menu when viewing the text message and select the "Goto", "Get", or "Get Link" option.
  3. Once the download has completed, you will be prompted to install the ESP application.
  4. Click "Yes" or "Install" to install the ESP application.
  5. Click through any additional options your phone/device may prompt you for.
  6. Once the installation is complete, most phones/devices will ask if you want to run the ESP application. Go ahead and do so.
  7. You will see your ESP.
  8. In the future, your ESP will always be accessible by navigating to the "Applications" or Games/Applications" folder on your phone/device.
  9. You now have Complete Mobile Peace of Mind!
If you have not yet created your ESP
  1. Create your ESP by signing up.
  2. Follow the instructions on the website and complete the contact, ESP, and payment information forms.
  3. When Sign-Up is complete, you will receive a text message containing a link to download your ESP.
  4. Complete the steps listed above in "If you have already created your ESP".
